ANNUAL GIVING

Your support is needed to complete Windrush School's financial picture! Maintaining a healthy financial picture is essential for us to be able to: pay our teachers competitive salaries; provide Spanish, technology, music, drama, and art education; and maintain our commitment to small class size.

Tuition covers 90% of the school's annual operating costs—the balance of 10% needs to be raised from our community. All of our children benefit from educational resources that aren't fully paid for through tuition alone. This "invisible tuition assistance" amounts to $1,791 per child for the 2007-2008 school year. The Annual Giving Campaign is the primary vehicle for closing this gap, with a $200,000 goal for the 2007-2008 school year.

EXPANDING HORIZONS CAMPAIGN

Windrush School is undertaking the most significant building project in its history. Our new building–constructed according to sustainable design principles–will open in fall 2008, and will house seven middle school classrooms and a new K-8 library/technology center.

In tandem with this vital project, Windrush School must raise $1,500,000 to: enhance the program of one of the finest progressive K-8 schools in the Bay Area; increase tuition assistance to a wider range of families; strengthen our ability to recruit & retain exceptional faculty; and moderate future tuition increases.

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES EXPANDING HORIZONS AND THE ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN?

Annual giving supports the yearly operating expenses of the school; the Expanding Horizons Campaign is an investment in the future of Windrush School, and in the lives of all students who will learn and grow at Windrush.

We hope you’ll join us! To learn more or to discuss your participation in either campaign, contact Constance Geisler, Director of Development, at 510-970-7580, ext. 231, or cgeisler@windrush.org.
